Why is the sign sideways?
One of Starkville's most publicized monuments is The Brew's customizable sign, often featuring jokes and sports-based jabs. A local ordinance on signs required Strage Brew to remove their beloved sign. Notice that it's still there?
Remaining true to the sign's edgy nature, Strange Brew found a loophole to their sign exceeding the height requirements: turning it on its side. Now the citizens of Starkville and the world can continue to get a laugh from the one-liners,

Strictly Sippin'
If you are looking for a variety of flavors combinations and options, Strange Brew is the place for you. Known for their incredible, unique flavor mash-ups, Strange Brew can fulfill your craving for some seriously flavored coffee. Their MSU-inspired latte, the Maroon + White is a good example: white chocolate and raspberry flavored. If you are already jittery from caffeine or simply want something other than coffee, they have a variety of other options. They have a wonderful variety of hot teas, delectable caramel apple cider, and even loaded teas.

Atmosphere
In accordance with "keeping Starkville strange," Strange Brew's atmosphere is, well, strange. From life-size figures of monsters and mad scientists to unconventional light fixtures, the Brew is not a conventional coffee shop. The atmosphere is dark and moody, and the decor is almost random--a mix of stars, squirrels, and an eccentric collection of books to peruse. The upstairs furniture is worn and well-used; somehow, this perfectly fits the atmosphere. Inside, it is quiet enough to study but loud enough that one doesn't feel like they're disturbing others with their conversation.
Selling Point
The arguably best thing about Strange Brew, and the reason students love it so much, is its hours. Strange Brew is open until 11 pm. Even more, they adjust their hours during exams to stay open even later! Many students struggle with studying at home, so the Brew provides a place to successfully do all your late-night cramming or deadline-pushing. Hours that late are rare for businesses in southern towns, and Strange Brew saw the need in students and filled it. Also, patronizing the Brew is supporting a local, MSU-grown business.
